Inspirée de ses prédécesseures et précurseures Digital Zandoli, Digital Kabar ou encore Digital Indigenous, Digital Ngoma est née de la volonté du festival Kayamba d’agir pour la préservation du patrimoine culturel de Mayotte à travers l’utilisation d’outils alternatifs et novateurs pour cette île de l'océan Indien. Cette toute première compilation de musique électronique 100 % made in Mayotte et autoproduite est le fruit de tout ce travail et cet engouement artistique pour offrir à l’île et à son patrimoine musical un regard nouveau ainsi qu’une visibilité à travers la musique électronique, et de l’accompagnement de partenaires impliqués et conscients des enjeux culturels qui se jouent à l’heure de la mondialisation.

Inspired by its predecessors and precursors Digital Zandoli, Digital Kabar and Digital Indigenous, Digital Ngoma was born of the Kayamba festival's desire to help preserve Mayotte's cultural heritage through the use of alternative and innovative tools for this Indien Ocean island. This first-ever compilation of 100% made-in-Mayotte, self-produced electronic music is the fruit of all this work and artistic enthusiasm to give the island and its musical heritage a fresh look and a higher profile through electronic music, and of the support of partners who are committed and aware of the cultural issues at stake in a globalised world.
